Construction Management

Contract Administration

HTA Consulting Group provides comprehensive oversight to make sure the project is created according to your plans and specifications. We provide general advice and counsel from assisting with contractor selection to updating on project status. We protect the client’s interests by reviewing and verifying contractor applications for payment along with any claims that may arise.

Once a contract has been negotiated and executed between an owner and contractor, HTA Consulting Group can provide administrative services to ensure that the construction work being performed complies with the contract documents.

Proactive claims management begins during pre-construction and continues until a project is successfully completed. Our pre-construction analysis includes a detailed review of contract documents (including User Specification Requirements, URS, and Functional Specifications, FS), contract schedule, change orders and directives, requests for information, and pertinent correspondence.

When analyzing contract requirements, our team identifies key issues and determines the most appropriate explanation in alignment with such requirements. Additionally, we recommend pre-project risk assessments, a thorough buildability review of the contract documents and requirements to identify obstacles before a project is actually built and to reduce or prevent errors, delays, and cost overruns. The buildability review will also include value engineering, and rigorous construction management processes such as a prescribed claim resolution methodology to minimize the chance of major claims.
